- We have two Christmas shows this November. The first one is taking place on 6th and 7th November at New Directions, Caversham. The second is taking place from 11th to 20th November at 43C Peach Street, Wokingham. See below for more details of both shows.
- We are pleased to announce that our Christmas show will take place on 6th and 7th November 2010.This event will showcase handmade work from 16 local artists including jewellery, decoupage furniture, ceramics, paintings, stained glass and much more. See the images below for a little taster.It is the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping, all items are for sale and available to be taken away on the day of purchase. All artists will be at the show so you can always discuss a commission if you can’t find that perfect present.It’s not all about buying presents, we want you to have a fun time too. There will be the opportunity to pose for a silhouette cut in 2-3 minutes by artist Charles Burns, on Sunday 2-5pm. Children and adults are welcome and no need for neat hairstyles!
And if that isn’t enough there is also a chance to try your hand at pottery with New Directions on Saturday from 1pm-3pm and Sunday 2pm – 4pm.
The Christmas show will take place in New Directions (The Caversham Centre) just opposite Waitrose Car park. The full address is School Lane, Caversham, RG4 8HX. Look out for our banners and bunting outside the centre. Free parking in Waitrose car park.
The show will open from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
You can also catch some of the Caversham Artists at their next show ‘The Art Cell’ from 11th to 20th November at 43C Peach Street, Wokingham. A showcase and sale of work by Anne Webster, Barbara Goodbun, Charles Burns, Joanne de Nobriga, Louise Spiers, Mary Phelan, Nicola Duncan, Julie Simmonds, Roger Smalley, and Peter Quarmby.
Opening times are : Thursday 11th November – Saturday 20th November – 12-5pm Monday-Friday and 10:30am-5pm Saturdays. You can also join the artists for a celebratory late night opening on Thursday 11th November 5-8:30pm. Be the first to enjoy the exhibition and meet the artists over a glass of wine.
